    IBS is very common in Australia, and can have a significant impact on quality of life. Many factors can contribute to symptoms including stress, medications and diet, and management can vary depending on each individual’s circumstances. It is important to ensure that other conditions that can also cause diarrhoea have been excluded, such as coeliac disease, bowel infections and inflammatory bowel disease, as well as certain medications.
