Trauma-informed therapy means I approach every session with an understanding of how past experiences—especially overwhelming or painful ones—can shape the way we think, feel, and behave.

    It also means:

    • You’re in control of the pace

    • You’re never forced to talk about anything before you’re ready

    • Your safety and comfort come first

According to SAMHSA (2014), trauma-informed care improves engagement, reduces re-traumatisation, and enhances treatment outcomes.
