Common symptoms include a visible bulge in the groin area, which may become more noticeable when standing or straining. Some people experience pain or discomfort in the groin, especially when lifting, bending, or coughing. In severe cases, there may be nausea, vomiting, or signs of bowel obstruction if the hernia becomes incarcerated or strangulated.
