The ’triple test’ in breast symptom assessment includes:
• Breast physical examination and clinical assessment
• Breast imaging (ultrasound, mammogram, contrast mammogram, MRI)
• A biopsy (fine needle aspirate or core biopsy)
The triple test is considered reliable to rule a sinister cause out (or in).
