Frozen shoulder generally resolves on its own but takes on average 2.5 years. Main treatment for frozen shoulder involves pain relief and physical therapies to improve movement and muscle function.

    - Heat and massage can be used for pain relief particularly in the neck and behind the shoulder blade.

    - A cold pack can be placed on the shoulder for 20 minutes every 2 hours for pain relief.

    - Treament during the painful stage involves medications such as anti-inflammatories, paracetamol and possibly a cortisone injection.
