Orthopaedic Surgeon
Your doctor or physiotherapist can diagnose a frozen shoulder by checking the external roation of the arm at the side to examine the shoulder's range of motion and compare it to normal values. An X-ray is important to rule out arthritis and calcific tendonitis. Ultrasound is important to rule out a rotator cuff tear.
