    The exact cause of frozen shoulder is unknown. Occasionally, it can develop after a shoulder has been immobilised for a period of time due to local shoulder injury or surgery while other times it may occur spontaneously.

    A few factors may put people more at risk of developing frozen shoulder eg. diabetes, thryroid disorder, Parkinson's disease and cardiovascular disease.
