    It is a condition in which the shoulder capsule becomes stiff and thickened thereby restricting movement and causing chronic pain. It occurs more often in women than men.

    The main symptoms include:

    Shoulder stiffness that occurs for no specific reason.

    Severe pain that becomes worse at night and in cold weather.

    Near complete loss of active and passive external rotation of the shoulder.
