There are two common types of invasive breast cancer:
Ductal (occurring in the breast duct) or Lobular (occurring in the breast lobules).
Ductal is by far more common, representing almost 85% of all the invasive breast cancers. There are behavioural differences between the two, which can result in a variation of their management.
