    It’s estimated that 35% of people aged 65 and up experience some degree of hearing loss. One in two people over the age of 65 suffer from hearing loss.

    Hearing loss as a result of ageing is often perceived as a non-urgent medical condition but increasingly new research suggests that hearing loss is a high risk-factor in cognitive and memory decline in elderly population, it also affects one’s quality of life and makes listening effortful and strained and therefore it is important to have the hearing assessed in detail and undertake appropriate action as advised by the audiologist
