Pain in the back of the heel could indicate inflammation of the growth plate where the Achilles tendon attaches to. More common in YOUNG, ACTIVE AND TIGHT MUSCLES in males. We find that this condition can cause some serious pain if left untreated leaving some unable to play sport or play with limited capacity. TREATMENT CAN INCLUDE BUT ISN'T LIMITED TO: - REST - ICE - COMPRESSION - ELEVATION Non-steroidal anti inflammatory cream/spray, Stretching, Soft tissue releasing, Joint manipulation, Percussive therapy, Shockwave therapy, Footwear changes/modifications, Dry needling, Orthotic therapy
