When an aneurysm ruptures, high pressure arterial blood is released into the CSF space, known as a subarachnoid haemorrhage, or sometimes the brain tissue itself. Symptoms are severe & sudden headache, nausea, vomiting, stiff neck and reduced level of consciousness.
