Is Rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune diseases related to Mesh Implants

My husband has had a bilateral hernia repair using mesh implants 2 years ago, since then he developed an eye infection post foreign body which would not heal for a long time despite IM Penicillin, Clindamycin Oral 450mg TDS, Gentamycin eye drops BD and chloromycetin eye ointment. A few months later he developed bursitis in his shoulder needing steroid injections. A few months after that he was tired all the time, finding it hard to get out of bed, decrease in appetite, weight loss. At first, he was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rhuematica and was given Prednisone. He still failed to improve and gradually became worse, he was sent to a specialist and diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis, I am pretty sure he also has fibromyalgia considering his symptoms. He was put on Methotrexate with still no improvement, a complete lack of appetite and nausea and vomiting they ceased this as well. He has been unable to go to work for weeks at a time. What can we do next?
