    No, the two are not related. A large prostate does not cause, or increase your risk of prostate cancer. It is possible for the two things to happen coincidentally. An enlarged prostate does tend to cause the prostate blood test (PSA) to be higher. If the level is high, usually review by a urologist is needed to sort out whether this is just due to the large prostate, or if something more serious like prostate cancer is also present.
