Patients may present typically with symptoms of abdominal pain (can be generalised and then localised to the right lower abdomen), nausea, vomiting, reduced appetite, fever, there can be altered bowel habit also including loose bowel motions (can occur in retro-ileal appendicitis), or sometimes constipation. Patients may also be diagnosed with appendicitis with imaging such as ultrasound, or CT scan.
