1. Surgery. Unless the patient is not a surgical candidate. However, non-surgical management is associated with high rates of recurrence and then complication. 2. antibiotics- can be given to patients if not a surgical candidate. And antibiotics help treat appendicitis until getting to the operating theatre. There are some studies looking at non-operative management of uncomplicated appendicitis- however, surgery is the current gold standard of treatment.
