The main reason (with statistics that I've read suggesting from 50-70%) it would seem for first trimester miscarriage is a chromosomal abnormality in the developing fetus.
But pregnancies like people are individual experiences and the factors that might affect a miscarriage are many and varied.
If you have had a miscarriage and are concerned about your own experience it is always a good idea to speak with your doctor, fertility specialist or alternative health therapist about your concerns.
