Margarita is a registered psychologist who provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for clients to talk about their personal concerns, thoughts and feelings. She adopts a tailored approach to therapy focused upon understanding the unique treatment needs of each client by working collaboratively with clients to identify their needs and therapeutic goals. She is passionate about assisting people to explore, reflect on, overcome difficulties and empowering them to discover new self-insight and make life-transforming change.
She uses evidence-based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring her approach to each client’s needs.
Margarita has experience working with children, adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds in a variety of sectors including community centres, child protection, universities and school settings. She focuses mainly on children and adolescents. She has a keen interest in the mental health of migrants and international students, their response to challenges and opportunities present in life, whether related to education, career and relationships.
