I commenced my career working in the area of mental health in 2000 and have been practising as a Clinical Psychologist since 2006. The bulk of my experience has been gained whilst employed by NSW Health, having worked in community mental health teams in urban and rural hospitals for over 8 years.
I established Phillips Clinical Psychology in Marrickville as I had been working at an Inner West Community Health Centre for the past several years and received feedback from my clients that there was a lack of private psychology services in the local area. Clients and GPs were also unable to locate a local service that provided Bulk billing Psychological Therapy.
My particular interests are in Men's health and Depression. My primary therapy approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I also practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Sex Therapy and the application of Neuroscience in Psychotherapy. You will find me to be a professional, ethical and genuinely empathic therapist who will listen to you without judgement.
Registered to practice as a Clinical Psychologist Australia wide. AHPRA Registered Psychologist: PSY0000986650 AHPRA Endorsed Clinical Psychologist. AHPRA approved 4+2 and Clinical Registrar Supervisor. I am registered as a Medicare Clinical Psychologist and ‘Psychological Therapy Services’ provider.
I completed my qualifications at the University of Wollongong.
These include: BA, Psychology, Grad Dip Applied Psychology and Master of Clinical Psychology.
