Dr Nghi Mai is a Director of the Queensland Cardiovascular Group. He has rooms at Sunnybank, Greenslopes Private Hospital, St Andrews War Memorial Hospital and Mater Private Adults. He is an Associate Lecturer with the University of Queensland. He is also a Member of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He is a clinical cardiologist with training in multi-modality cardiac imaging, including CT and invasive coronary angiography.
Dr Mai is a graduate of the University of Queensland Medical School, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Cardiology. After completing his postgraduate studies, Dr Mai undertook further training in Cardiovascular Medicine in Sydney. He also cross trained in Respiratory Medicine. He holds a Clinical Research Fellowship with the University of Queensland, completed at Princess Alexandra Hospital. He studies advanced techniques in echocardiography, in particular, pulmonary hypertension, right ventricular function, conventional and colour tissue doppler. He is a Level A specialist in CT coronary angiography.
