My six-year-old daughter was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis last year and her disease is progressing fast even though she is on pirfenidone and other medication e.g. steroids, anti-inflammatory medication. We wanted to try lung transplant as a last resort but now doctors are saying because she is on high dose steroids it’s impossible for the transplant to happen. Can anyone help me out, please?
