I am 29 years old and have been recently told I have a ‘connective tissue’ autoimmune disorder. Suspected lupus - possibly early stage?
Reading literature I wondered is it better to see a rheumatologist or immunologist for the management of an autoimmune disorder?
If a rheumatologist is preferable, is there someone near Toowoomba, QLD who is an excellent practitioner?
I am hoping to find someone who has a special interest in the field who may consider taking me on as a patient.
I can travel up to 2hrs from Toowoomba but will go further if necessary.
Am I right in assuming that these conditions are inter related. I thought that they all stemmed from a problem with the immune system? Can somone please explain.
