I stopped wearing my retainer for a couple years and over time, some of my front bottom teeth started to become crooked in a way. I also experienced some pain, I wasn't sure if it was because my wisdom teeth were growing in or if it was because of the two front teeth.
I decided to wear my retainer. It barely fit and in some places it didn’t fit at all. I figured I would be able to move one area at a time back into place then it would fit again. This worked, but one night it hurt really badly so I stopped wearing it again for a few days to rest. After I began wearing it again, I noticed my top teeth cannot close in front/on top of my bottom teeth when I smile anymore and I’m worried that it won’t go back to normal. I can tell one of my back teeth on the bottom touches a back tooth on the top and that could be why.
I don’t want to get braces again so can someone please advise me on what to do? I can't tell if it’s due to my retainer or wisdom teeth affecting something.
I had some xrays of my teeth taken and would like a second opinion of the results. I do not want to have another xray taken as I do not think this is healthy but am told by my dentist that they can…
