  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

    Severe halitosis

l am a longtime sufferer from severe halitosis, for as long as l can remember. Over the years l have tried everything from antibiotics to nasal sprays and irrigation flushes, right through to special dental products. l know it's not a dental issue as my dentist confirmed that l have impeccable dental hygiene.

The problem is quite debilitating not to mention humiliating. After seeing an ENT specialist l am about to have surgery as l suffer from post nasal drip and have a deviated septum. I'm so concerned that although surgery may offer a correction to my functionality, l may have the halitosis issue forever, which l can no longer manage. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
