Pain relief for frozen shoulder

My wife is 69 years of age and has been diagnosed with a frozen shoulder from Feb 2018. She is very tough but the constant pain (24/7) in her shoulder and arm is so severe (9 out of 10) she is awake 3-4 times during the night, gets very little sleep and has become completely exhausted.
After several different medications and as a last resort her GP has prescribed oxycodone, however, this does not ease her pain nor does it help her to sleep.
Are there any medications to relieve the pain of a severe case of frozen shoulder? -
