My 18-year-old son was suddenly killed in a car accident 8 months ago. I’ve developed depression and PTSD. I have been seeing a GP and psychologist for counselling and am taking a medication which provides some calm and sleep. Constant replaying of crash circumstances and life impact leads to a frequent, repetitive and involuntary groan which is disturbing to others. Perhaps more specialised counselling and different medications are required. Ongoing mental loop and groaning are still a major problem and impacts my relationships.
