I have low iron levels. I have just had my 3rd iron transfusion in 2 years today. My doctor has only tested for iron level and faeces to see whether there is internal bleeding going on. I am a woman and am just wondering what else I can do as I really do not want to keep having iron transfusions my whole life. Is it worthwhile to see a blood specialist? Or should I go and see a dietitian?
