    Thyroid medication worse

    Related Topic
My TSH levels were too high (about 4.4) and I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, after having a miscarriage. I commenced taking thyroxin in the morning. Since doing so for 4 months, my levels are now about 1.8 which the Drs are happy with. Except, I now struggle to sleep at night, and am awake at least 3 times during the night if not more, I am constantly exhausted and am putting on weight mostly around my stomach (I have weighed between 48 and 50kg for 37 years and am now 54 and growing, though not eating in a manner that would be the cause of it).
