My son is 3 1/2 and goes to daycare 2 days a week. The daycare has an 'open learning environment' where the child can choose any activity they like to play with, there is approximately 40 children in his class (both 3 and 4 yr old).
This week I have been told by his teachers that they believe my son has behavioural issues consistent with ADHD and have asked me to go through a diagnosis in seeing a psychologist.
Are the teachers being pre-emptive in asking me to get a diagnosis? My GP thinks that it is ridiculous to put a 3yr old through testing. What exactly am I submitting him to if I do see a psychologist?
