My 21 yr old son has been suffering from severe abdominal pain and bouts of intermittent bowl hemorrhages over the last 3 months. He has had numerous visits to hospital, their conclusion without any tests has been, bleeding hemorrhoids. This doesn't add up to me as the volume of blood is equivalent to approx. a cup of blood, (sometimes more) each time. His GP has recommended him to a specialist and he wants to do a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. My concern is that it may take up to 3 months for him to actually have this done in the public system. This sounds serious enough that it should be addressed asap. Am I over reacting?
