  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

What kind of specialist should I see to get a diagnosis?

I have scoliosis, allergies, and asthma. I regularly get sick. After Glandular fever in 2012 I have been in constant pain. MRI said: nerves in neck are fine, Bone density is low, Rheumatologist asked whether I smoked. I don't. Smoke makes my lung burn. Last 2 bloodtests came back with C-Reactive Protein over 10. Everything else was good (kidney, Liver, and Thyroid perfect. No diabetes), but Vitamin D was just above the lowest it should be. Left ribs: Halfway down to bottom of ribs in constant pain. Gets worse at night. Just below ribs: Pinching pain when constipated. Not sure whether other constant pain is from ribs or something else. Can sometimes spread around my side and to my back. Left thigh: constant numbness on front part of thigh. Worse when ribs are worse. Worse when I wear low cut jeans or belt too. Loss of feeling and weakness in arms when laying on other side of body. Family history of: Diabetes type 1 & 2, cancer , Factor V Leiden Thrombophilia.
