Mr Justin Lade has been an Orthopaedic Surgeon for over eight years. He joined the Waverley Orthopaedic Clinic in September 2007 to provide a comprehensive local service specializing in elective, fracture, sports orthopaedics and general adult orthopaedic problems. He has a special interest in surgery for arthritis, especially hip and knee arthroplasty surgery including complex primary joint replacements, reconstructions and revision surgery.
Justin graduated MBBS with honours from Melbourne University in 1993, completed residency training at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne and Orthopaedic training on the Australian Orthopaedic Association training program in Victoria, passing FRACS (Orthopaedics) in 2002.
Justin has held Orthopaedic positions at the Western Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, Box Hill Hospital and Maroondah Hospital before travelling overseas to extend his training and experience. His overseas experience included over 12 months in Canada working at the Western General Hospital, Toronto and 3 years in the U.K. working at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. This has enabled the accumulation of both North American and European insight into managing many and sometimes difficult orthopaedic problems.
Justin has recently been appointed Co-Head of The Western Orthopaedic Service, one of the biggest orthopaedic units in the State.
