Associate Professor James Chong MBBS, FRACP, PhD is a consultant and interventional cardiologist at Westmead Public and Westmead Private Hospitals. His clinical interests focus on coronary intervention whilst his research focuses on the potential use of stem cells to regenerate the injured heart. As a National Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow and Sydney Medical School Foundation Fellow he leads the cardiac regeneration laboratory at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research.
