    Depression and lonliness

I have struggled with depression for many years. leaving a trail of bad decisions and consequences behind me. I have moved to a new area with my wonderful husband, son and daughter. beautiful home but so lonely and depressed. Every day comes and goes like the last. I cry in private when i am alone, which is all day every day. I just want someone to be my friend.

Hi my name is Ally and I'm hearing you as I'm exactly the same way. Every day I wake up and have the shakes, can't breathe properly and wake up shitty before I even get out of bed. I sleep for at least 10 to 12hours a day, I hate myself  now can't find  much that makes me laugh except Mrs Browns Boys can't wait for season 3. When I do laugh,it's very short lived then back to being sad.May I say that you have already made the first hurdle, Don't give up on life you now have a friend . hope to hear from you when you get a chance. I will think of you every morning so please know that you are not alone,.from your new friend.xxx

It might help if you reflected on activities which you have enjoyed: reading, cooking, playing bridge, gardening, whatever…

Then check out where you live for groups who share those interests.

A commonality of interests can often lead to the development of friendship.
