    Is hidradenitis suppurativa contagious?

    One of my flatmates has a condition called hidradenitis suppurativa and I am worried it may be contagious as we share the same couch, etc.

    Please be reassured - hidradenitis suppurativa is not a contagious condition and you will not catch it from any activity you undertake around or with your flatmate.

    Hidradenitis suppurativa is not a contagious condition and can not be passed on to you.

    Hidradenitis Suppurativa is NOT contagious. It may look like an infection- but this disease mimics an infection. The swelling pain and pus are due to Inflammation NOT Infection.

    HS requires both medical and surgical management in some cases-see a Dermatologist to discuss your options
