    Endometriosis can only be diagnosed accurately by seeing it at laparascopy. Sometimes an ultrasound will show an ovarian cyst, which is endoemtriotic (chocolate cysts), or some thickening and tenderness of the ligaments at the back of the uterus. These results may indicate endometriosis.
