    Hi!
It looks like you are a good mum and trying your very best to help take care of your daughter.
It will be fairly important that your daughter seeks help, especially if she has been recently diagnosed with depression.
You can introduce her to your doctor (she'll need to find a GP at some point anyway) who can make a mental health care plan with her. The GP can then refer her to a psychologist (or you can recommend one to the GP) and she should be able to claim part of the psychologist treatment fees back from Medicare.
When your daughter arrives, try to be around her a lot- don't smother her, but be present and aware of where she is. You'll soon get a gauge of how deeply depressed she is and whether or not suicide ideation is something to be concerned about. Unconditional and non-judgemental love is a must.
Be there for her, but don't interrogate her. Involve her in your life and be open and honest with her.
You can get more information at www.psychology.org.au about psychologists and the work they do. www.healthinsite.gov.au is also a good source of information about depression and other health topics.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions as well at HeadsUp Psychology.

    Best of luck!

A good place for yourself to go is the Arafmi organisation in your state. They are there to help support those who care for people with a mental illness.
