Skin Cancer arises in skin that has been exposed to UV radiation. The Sunshine Coast in Queensland has one of the highest levels of skin cancer in Australia, which is directly related to our outdoor lifestyle. UVB rays in particular are responsible for skin cancers. A broad spectrum sunscreen and avoiding the heat of the day (10am - 3pm)when UVB rays are at their peak,  will reduce your risk of getting skin cancers.
