Q: Is autism related to premature birth?

I recently gave birth at 32 weeks to a premi baby and am concerned there are links to autism, is this true?

Prematurity is one of (many) the risk factors for autism. However, this does not mean that your premature baby will have autism. If you have concerns about your child's social responsiveness, do speak with your maternal and child health nurse. Reply to this post | Report
