Are you getting enough calcium?
Conversation started by Arlene NormandAim to get at least half of your calcium from dairy foods. Calcium is more easily absorbed from dairy products than from other food groups. Try to eat 3 serves a day of foods that are high in calcium. For eample a glass of milk, 200g tub of yoghurt, a slice of hard cheese. Eat canned fish with the bones, particularly canned salmon and sardines where the bones are edible and contain high amounts of calcium. If you can't eat dairy foods eat other types of foods that contain calcium or are fortified with calcium.
Remember Vit D is also essential for good bone health.
