Diabetes in the country
Conversation started by Helen EdwardsHi people I am one of the new panel members. I live with type 1 diabetes and am also a Diabetes Educator and Mental Health Social Worker. I am the founder of a national charity Diabetes Counselling Online www.diabetescounselling.com.au We have new programmes for people living in rural areas with diabetes and are running a poll about services in the bush - wondering if any healthshare members are living in rural areas? And if so, what are the diabetes services like in your areas? And in particular, do you get much access to counselling services where you live? Places like Healthshare can be so important when you live a long way from other services and support
Look forward to sharing more!

Hi my name is Matt and I love health and fitness. I am a Personal Trainer from Sydney, Australia with many years experience in Australasia ... View profileHi Helen, I admit I find more cases of diabetes present in rural communities as a health practitioner there. Would you agree this is the case country wide? Reply to this post  | Report
