Why are health care services so difficult to access?

It seems that no matter how smart one is, and this includes even health professionals who you would think would know how the "system" works, it is very difficult to find sources of reliable and informed information about services and help for patients, families or carers?

    Hi Tuly,

You may find the National Dementia Helpline run by Alzheimers Australia is a good place to start. Please call them on 1800 100 500. We hope you find the information and help you are looking for.

Hi Tuly, As a case manager who works with families and people with dementia the ‘system’ remains to be quite complex.  You can also try the Commonwealth and Respite Centre 1800052222 or google them to find the different services available in your local area.
