I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in April 1998 and have used an insulin pump for ten years. I am a diabetes consumer adovcate, work for a diabetes organisation and blog at www.diabetogenic.wordpress.com.
I have a seven-year-old daughter, am married to a musician, drink far to much coffee and spend far too much time in cafes in Melbourne's inner-north. My back-up plan is to spend my life baking cupcakes: and yes, I do see the irony!
